Native Oregonian and nomad Miel built her dream beach cabin in Olivia Beach while still living in Washington DC and either working from or traveling through some 65 countries. She now sticks close to the beach catching waves and hunting agates whenever the chances arise while raising two young boys with her husband Adam.

Miel didn't tiptoe into real estate she dove right in. Her first purchase was in 2004 a classic three-level townhouse in the heart of Washington DC for $419000. Putting in nightly sweat equity taught her a thing or two (house now worth $1M+). She went on to own four apartments in Dupont Circle area managing them from Africa and beyond. Alanna Miel has consolidated her assets to her native Oregon with an urban PDX pad a beach cabin a rural yurt and a bucolic post office thrown into the mix for good measure. Her long term goal includes an Oregon real estate royal flush including a houseboat and treehouse.
